It does do H.264 and has a screen large enough to display facial expressions. On the negative side a $100 camera can probably do as well (perhaps better) when coupled with H.264 in a PC or Mac and that capability is coming in the next few months.

Over the weekend I was able to play with mpeg 4 page 10 video compression (sometimes called H.264). In a word -- wow. The quality is serious higher than DivX at equivalent bit rates. A two hour movie compressed to 650 MB was almost as good as the original DVD.

Prediction -- it will become the codec of choice for copies of DVDs. 650MB easily fits on a 10 cent CD-R.
